Israeli electric aircraft startup Eviation has unveiled the first prototype of its Alice all electric regional passenger aircraft at the 2019 Paris Air Show.

Alice will redefine regional transportation with its range 650 miles (1,050 km) and a targeted $200 per flight hour cost.

Flight testing will be carried out in U.S. with type certification planned to achieve by the end of 2021.

The 9 passenger all composite aircraft will have an pressurized cabin.

Alice uses distributed propulsion with one main pusher propeller at the tail and two pusher propellers at the wingtips to reduce drag, create redundancy, and improve efficiency

Eviation is offering two motor options, 260 kW Siemens or 280 kW MagniX motors to power the aircraft.

South Korean Kokam will supply the 900 kWh lithium-ion battery pack which will be distributed through out the aircraft, accounting for 60 per cent weight of the 14,000 lb take off weight.

The avionics will be sourced from Honeywell and the propeller will be supplied by Hartzell.
