A US Marine Corps F-35B crashed after colliding with a USMC KC-130J during an air-to-air refueling mission over Southern California, resulting in the crash of the F-35B. 

The pilot of the F-35B ejected successfully and is currently being treated. All the 8 crew members onboard the KC-130J also survived the crash landing.

The F-35B collided with the KC-130J while being refueled from the starboard refueling pod. As a result the starboard refueling pod was damaged and fuel was leaking through.

Both the starboard engines were lost and the all the six composite dowty propellers broke. One of left outboard engine propeller was also lost.
